Those of you that have come to the club for #BA11 Live and our first friendly would have noticed the new look to our club entrance. Read on for find out more about how Fresh Look have supported the club in the creation of our fantastic new club crest.
The club reached out to local company Fresh Look, based in Radstock, to ask for their support in producing a standout piece for the entrance to the club, with the added pressure of having a design ready for the start of preseason. Fresh Look rose to the challenge and created this wonderful sign that they have donated to the club. Managing Director Wayne Williams talks us through the processes involved. “It is always a pleasure to get involved with projects local to us. Freshlook Engineering “grew up” in Frome and has always had a soft spot for the people and business’ in and around the area. Of course, we were delighted when The Robins approached us to help with the task of supplying a laser-cut metal sign to fix to their newly refurbished turnstiles!
It was decided by our design team to use the striking combination of high grade Brushed and Mirror Polished stainless steel to make the crest really stand out. We set about converting the Clubs Crest artwork into engineering file formats, preparing them for processing on our state of the art Co2 laser cutting machinery. A prototype sign was quickly produced by our engineers to win the approval from Frome Towns Directors and Marketing team before making the start on the real thing.
All the laser cut Metal parts of the crest were skilfully hand-polished before being carefully bonded together to create the finished sign. The entire works was completed start to finish in two weeks to be ready for the #BA11LIVE event followed soon after with their first preseason friendly game against Bath City FC.
Everyone at Freshlook Engineering would like to wish Frome Town FC the very best of luck in the up-coming season and hope that fans and visitors to the ground enjoy the new sign for many years to come.” Following the creation of the sign our fans were on hand as part of Paint the Town Red day to put everything in place.
In addition, we have also taken the opportunity to refresh the main entrance signs to both the main gate and the players/officials entrance.
Frome Chairman Derek Graham commented, “We are always actively looking to improve areas of the ground to enhance the match day experience. So when we approached Fresh Look about recreating the club crest on the outside of our ground, they really went above and beyond to support our club. They are very proud of their Frome heritage and we were delighted to unveil the new sign to our fans this week at our first home game since the latest lockdowns. It’s been brilliant to see the fans already commenting, engaging and having their photos taken with the sign shared across social media. It’s great to make everyone feel a little more proud of their football club.”
We hope you all like the new signage and hopefully we will be making more updates throughout the season.
