11 games to be played, seven of those at Badgers Hill, and we need all hands on deck, says manager Danny Greaves in a call to action
It is quite astonishing that going into the final 11 games that we have even given ourselves a fighting chance of survival.
When you look at the league table at the start of December, we were already down in most people’s eyes, and understandably so, with one win, and only 8 points from 17 games (0.47 points per game), sat 10 points adrift from safety.
When you look at the table today, we are very much in the survival mix having picked up 21 points from the 14 games (1.5 points per game) since.
With 11 games remaining, 7 of which are at home, we need you, our supporters more than ever!
Starting this Saturday away at Tiverton, please travel in your numbers and congregate behind the goal and make some noise, like you have recently away at Poole and Walton.
The key to our survival will be making Badgers Hill a fortress between now and the end of the season. We need big numbers through the gates and big noise throughout the 90 minutes. We will need you to be loud and vocal in both the tough moments and the good moments within games!
We can only achieve what looked like the impossible task at the beginning of December with your unbelievable support. The players continue to put in the hard yards during training sessions and on the pitch and it is all hands on deck behind the scenes too. But, as always, it is your support which will make the difference, just like it has done throughout my tenure.
We will have tough moments in the end of season run-in, but we remain confident we can achieve what would be the greatest of all great escapes!
