A warm BA11 welcome to our newest forward as he slots into the squad ahead of the Gloucester City clash.
The club is pleased to have agreed to sign striker Elliott Dugan from Cymru Premier side Connah's Quay for whom he appeared 18 times this season and scored three times.
The 24-year-old has had stints in the Southern Premier South with Hungerford and Tiverton last season.
He has been training with the squad over the past few weeks and scored a brace against Corsham in a behind-closed-doors friendly the weekend before last.
Elliott even brings some UEFA Conference League experience to the home dressing room at Badgers Hill. His two appearances this season's first qualifying round for the runners-up in the Welsh top division came against Slovenian side Bravo!
On bringing the striker into his squad, manager Danny Greaves said: "Elliott and I first spoke around 18 months ago, but things did not align at that time. Elliott has gone off and continued to play full time football, including a taste of European football which is great for him. However, as soon as he contacted me, initially to come in and train to stay fit, it was a no-brainer to try and pursue a more fixed agreement.
"He has shown in the two weeks so far the quality he will bring. He is a goalscorer and, in our situation, scoring goals is critical. You can never have too many goalscoring options, so we are delighted to have him!"
Elliott gave his thoughts upon joining the Robins: "I’m delighted to be here and contribute to the team. After a couple of training sessions and a game, I have really enjoyed myself. It’s been amazing to rediscover my love for football. After playing in a major European competition earlier this season, I’m eager to bring my experience, help the team, and continue developing as a player. I believe this environment, my teammates, the staff and the manager, will play a big role in helping me achieve that."
Welcome to BA11, Elliott!
