Frome Town secured another valuable point, as they held play-off chasing Havant & Waterlooville at Badgers Hill.
Albie Hopkins gave the Robins an early lead, before Callum Kealy struck back for the visitors just after the half-hour mark.

Buoyed by Tuesday’s victory over Hanwell Town, Danny Greaves’ side played with confidence and composure from the outset and that positivity translated into an early break through, as Rex Mannings nodded the ball down perfectly for Hopkins, who fired a precise shot into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
It was a bit of a wakeup call for the Hawks, who then began to kick into gear and Kyle Phillips was forced into a stop in the tenth minute, denying Ryan Seager, who found himself one-on-one, after he was played through by Kealy. Fifteen minutes later, Seager had his second effort of the game, this one however was a lot more comfortable for Phillips.
In the 33rd minute, the visitors pressure finally gave, as Kealy plucked a ball out of the air, before turning and drilling a low shot into the bottom corner to level.
The BA11 side looked to respond immediately, as a long throw in from Warren Maidment eventually found Mannings, but he fired a weak shot on his left foot which rolled through to Ben Dudzinski.Moments later, Ethan Vaughan went on a mazy run and appeared to be tripped in the box, however the referee waved play on-bringing a contentious end to the first half.
The second half began with the away side on top and they nearly took the lead in the 56th minute after Alfy Whittingham’s strike was deflected onto the post.
After weathering the storm, Frome began to surge forward and should have restored their lead in the 68th minute after Vaughan hooked a cross towards the back post, it found the head of substitute Archie Ferris, but he couldn’t match his midweek finish and headed straight at the keeper.
The rest of the game was tightly contested, Ferris had another headed chance in the 90th minute to seal all three points, but couldn’t generate the power behind his effort, meaning Frome had to settle for a point, which was albeit a fair result.
Next up we take a break from league action as Somerset Cup action returns. We travel to familiar opponents Paulton Rovers on Tuesday, a big chance to reach a cup final and we’ll need your support to push us over the line.
