Steve Jupp, BA11's Club Historian, sets the scene for Saturday's home clash against the Hawks
The Robins left it late on Tuesday night, but those precious points could not have been more timely in their bid to dodge the drop.
With remaining fixtures now in single figures, there is little margin for error and with a modest Badgers Hill unbeaten run now extended to four, the best so far of a season of struggle, having six of the last nine games at home could be a telling factor.

Visiting for the second time of the campaign on Saturday will be promotion-chasing Havant & Waterlooville, making a bid for a swift return to National League South.
Their play-off hopes were boosted last weekend following a comprehensive 4-1 triumph over Sholing which takes them to within a single point of fifth-placed Dorchester but, prior to that, a run of just two wins in eight Southern League encounters has prevented them from making inroads into the top five.
On their day, the Hawks can demolish anyone as Frome found to their cost back in September at Westleigh Park, suffering not only a 5-0 thumping but also losing Jon Davies to injury for the rest of the season.
A fortnight later, it was a much closer affair here at The Hill with a late goal apiece taking an FA Trophy tie to a penalty shoot-out which eventually went the way of the visitors.

Since November, the Scarlet Runners have clawed their way back into contention with an impressive run of just THREE defeats in EIGHTEEN encounters and, if just a couple of those frustrating draws could have been converted into wins, they would already be clear of the drop zone.
Havant, in the not-too-distant past, have experienced the highpoint of leading (twice!) at none other than Liverpool. Lowering the colours of a top-six side would be the highpoint of Frome’s season so far.

Thanks for another in depth pre match preview Juppy.
Another tough one tomorrow for sure . We haven't actually beaten any side in the top six this season, so a point would do me... being four for the week.
The crowd should be back to the 500+ as mark Havant attract crowds of well over 700 and so should bring a few to the Hill in a trip that's just over one and a half hours or so in duration.
The weather is forecast as around 7 degrees and dry., so, hardly tropical but a damn site warmer than Tuesday's Arctic fest.
I don't suppose for one minute that Curtis will get a start but one must mention his subli…
