Girls football pathway expanded

Updated: May 13, 2021

Our youth set-up Frome Town United and Frome Town Women are delighted to announce a full pathway for girls football from the age of 6 through to Women's football. The clubs now offer the extremely popular Wildcats section for girls aged 6-11 supported by the FA, with the now inclusion of an Under 13's and Under 15's teams under the Frome Town United umbrella.

The newly formed Frome Town United have announced that they have appointed Ben Bolland as their Head of Girls Football. Ben is an FA licensed coach with eight years’ experience in coaching girls football. Ben has been involved with Girls Football in Frome for 4 years with Frome Town Youth and looks to continue the good work started by Sarah and Tim Davis and Julie Peet over 10 years ago. Ben has working closely with Frome Town Women manager Justin Paget and alongside the Women's first team at training and on match days.

One of Frome Town United’s key objectives is to produce enough players to enable a Frome Town Women’s Reserves team to be created in the future and these steps will be key to this becoming a reality.

Girls football at Frome Town United is completely inclusive, always welcoming new players at all levels of ability and new volunteers to help coach and manage the teams.

So if you are interested in being part of it, reach out and find out more.
