Steve Jupp, BA11's Club Historian, weighs up Tuesday's trip to London and a clash with the Geordies.
The Robins will have had little time to dwell upon Saturday’s setback at Marlow as they are swiftly back in action with a Tuesday night visit to the West London home of Hanwell Town.
Amid much soul-searching, the quest for points goes on and it will be a tough encounter against a side who are unbeaten in their last eight encounters following a goalless draw with Hungerford at the weekend which sees them currently occupying tenth spot.
Frome fans will be hoping they’ll have one eye on their huge upcoming Third Round FA Trophy clash with National League Eastleigh and for all their fine recent form, the Geordies have not won at home in the league since August.
Promoted via the play-offs from Isthmian South Central in 2022, Hanwell finished fourteenth in their first season at Step Three, but last term only escaped relegation on goal difference, and that with a seemingly safe total of 48 points.
There has been just the one previous meeting between the sides which took place in the capital some eight years ago. Kyle Phillips kept a clean sheet for the Scarlet Runners in an FA Trophy tie won by the only goal through a first half Marcus Mapstone strike.
A similar outcome would still leave Frome at the foot of the table, but the fightback has to start somewhere. It might as well be Londinium.
The latest information on ticketing according to the Hanwell Town website is as follows:
