We are pleased to announce the signing of Joe Budd following a short spell abroad in New Zealand playing for Manurewa FC. Prior to moving to New Zealand, Joe played for Conference South side Taunton Town, helping them win the Southern Premier Division in his first season at the club.
The 20-year old was a graduate of the Bristol Rovers academy, rising up through the Rovers’ system before earning his first professional contract in May 2021. He spent time on loan at Southern Premier side Hendon from September 2021. Joe initially joined the Peacocks on loan from Bristol Rovers in November 2021, eventually joining on a permanent deal in January 2022.
After agreeing his move to Badgers Hill, the midfielder talked up what an exciting opportunity it was, saying, "I'm really happy to have signed for Frome and looking forward to the season ahead. The club and myself both have big ambitions for the season and I just can’t wait to get back playing league football".
Meanwhile, Danny Greaves had this to say on his latest bit of business, "I am extremely pleased to be able to bring Joe to the club. He is a talented young player who will add further quality into our midfield. He is still so young and will only get better which is key for us as a club".
