NEW SEASON, NEW SIGNINGS, AND NEW PARTNERS FOR FROME TOWN WOMEN

Frome Town Women had a strong season last year, narrowly finishing 3rd in the South Western Regional Women’s League, Eastern Division. Aiming to build on that this season, a lot has been going on behind the scenes to put us on the front foot when the season starts on September 3rd.

Building on last year’s squad, we are pleased to welcome new signings to Frome Town Women:

•             Sophie Billet, a vastly experienced goalkeeper who joins us from Warminster Ladies to take up the No. 1 jersey in the squad.

•             Elicia Rumens, a speedy and skilful winger, moving across from Melksham Ladies to join the team’s midfield.

•             Leah Ham, also joining us from Melksham Ladies, another energetic and exciting midfield talent to join the squad.

Welcome to all three players!

Team Manager Ben Bolland said; “I’m really pleased to welcome Sophie, Elicia and Leah into the squad. They have been training with us for a few weeks now and have settled into the squad brilliantly. Really looking forward to seeing them on the pitch in our summer friendlies.”

Off the field, a huge amount of work  has been going on… In support of the team this season, we are really pleased to be able to announce our superb kit partners for 2023-24.

This season, the Women’s team will be wearing the same kit as the men’s team, supplied by our kit partners Hope & Glory. Our Training Kit and Home Kit front of shirt main sponsor is Active and In Touch, a Frome-based charity chosen by sponsor, Tom Helps. We are also delighted to welcome back our Home Kit back of shirt sponsor, The Sweeping Company, of Nunney.

We have two brand new Away Kit sponsors next season, the front of shirt main sponsor is the Curo Group, a Bath based not-for-profit housing association. The Foot Clinic and Therapy Rooms, Frome are our Away Kit back of shirt sponsors.

Our thanks also go to our incredible partners at Frome Town United who have supplied the team with state of the art Mitre match balls for this season. We continue to work closely with Frome Town United to provide a single pathway for female football in Frome and are already welcoming more junior players into our training sessions, continuing to build for the future.

And for the first time, this season, the team will be carrying the #Her Game Too logo, building on the partnership we founded last season to continue to promote equality for women and girls in all aspects of football.

We’d like to thank all our sponsors and partners for choosing to support Frome Town Women, we are excited to be able to welcome you to the #weareBA11 family.

There have also been changes to the incredible volunteer support the team has off the pitch. We’d like to thank Tracy Vine, Sharon and Adrian Petteford who have recently stepped down as Club Welfare Officer, Treasurer and Secretary. In response to this, We are pleased to announce that Tara Tomley has agreed to join the management team to support Ben, Tom Bond and Chairman Tim Vine in the running of the club.

The team are always on the lookout for more help and support, so if you’re interested in helping the club out in any capacity, please get in touch with us.

Meantime, watch this space for more news as the team begins pre-season, and looks forward to taking delivery of its new kit, ahead of starting competitive matches in the League, County Cup and Women’s FA Cup. Bring on the football…
