Frome Town FC are delighted to announce that Rob Hobbs will remain with the club for the 2020/21 season.
The midfielder scored 4 goals in 23 apperances in all competitions last season, after returning to Badgers Hill for a third spell following a move from Melksham Town last summer.
Hobbs scored 5 goals in 64 appearances in his first two stints with The Robins, which ended with a move to Mangotsfield United during the 2017/18 season.
Manager Danny Greaves is delighted to have secured Hobbs for another season, citing his character and professionalism as the midfielder's main assets.
He said: "I have so much respect for Hobbsy as a footballer, but more importantly as a man. There were times at the start of the season where maybe he didn't start as many games as he would like due to off field circumstances with him having his first baby boy and other difficult personal challenges.
"We had a few chats and while 90% of players these days pack their bags and jump ship, Rob knuckled down and worked hard to get back into the team and stay there."
"He put in some great all round performances, covers every blade of grass, leaves everything on the pitch, gets on the ball and seems to pop up with those crucial goals. Delighted to be working with him again."
Hobbs is looking forward to returning to Badgers Hill and getting started on what hopefully be "enjoyable" and successful season for the club.
He said: "Can't wait to get started again with the lads and hopefully another enjoyable season for the Robins."
