Frome Town FC are delighted to announce that promising youngster Joe O'Loughlin has signed a contract keeping him at the club for the 2019/20 season.
The left-back initially signed on at Badgers Hill last summer, after he was released by Exeter City.
He made 14 appearances in total for The Robins last season, including an impressive performance in the valiant 4-3 defeat at home to Farnborough in March.
The 19-year-old even spent some time on-loan with South West Peninsula League side Ivybridge Town in his native Devon.
It seems O'Loughlin did enough to impress Danny Greaves, as the manager didn't take long in getting the full-back committed the club.
Greaves said: "I am really pleased Joe has committed himself to the club by signing a contract for the upcoming season.
"Joe came in during the early part of the season for a handful of games, before going out on loan. He returned for the last few months and performed exceptionally.
"He is a young lad, who having been let go by Exeter 12 months ago, has a real ambition to work hard and succeed in the game, and I am pleased he has decided that Frome is the best place for him to do that. I would once again like to thank the board for their backing."
O'Loughlin is grateful to the club and is delighted to have the chance to challenge himself with The Robins next season.
"I am delighted to sign for Frome Town for the upcoming season and am very grateful to the club for giving me this opportunity.
"Despite the disappointment of relegation for us and the supporters last season I relished the opportunity to challenge myself in men’s football.
"I look forward to working with Greavesy and the lads to come become better and stronger and bounce straight back up! I hope to give the fans plenty to cheer about."
