We can confirm that Callum Evans and Alex Hallett have departed from the club this week. We would like to thank both players for their efforts and wish them both the best for the next steps in their football journeys.
Alex Hallett joined us permanently back in November 2019 from Chippenham Town following a successful period of dual registration with the club featuring 79 times for the Robins during this period.
Manager Danny Greaves commented; "Alex actually first played for us by helping us out against his parent club, Chippenham Town in a pre season friendly as a youngster. He performed so well he stayed with us initially on loan, and then on a permanent deal. Alex has huge potential in the game and has had many an impressive performance. Unfortunately we have a number of very good central defenders and after a conversation with him we have agreed he needs to be playing regular football, and I can't offer him that at this moment in time. Alex is a fantastic lad, and a pleasure to work with. I wish him all the very best for the future."
Callum Evans joined us from Bath City, as Callum looked to rebuild his match fitness following a career that saw him play for the likes of Barnsley, Macclesfield Town, Forest Green Rovers and Torquay United. Callum featured 19 times for the Robins. Manager Danny Greaves commented; "Callum joined us after a spell out of the game after falling out of love with football. We helped him get fit and I think anybody who watched Callum play will agree the lad has unbelievable quality, well above step 4 level. Unfortunately we were never able to get him 100% fit and he has now decided to take a break from football.
I would like to thank Callum for his efforts during his short time with the club, his attitude, dedication, commitment and professionalism made him a pleasure to work with."
A huge thank you to both Alex and Callum for everything they have done for the club.

Sorry to hear about both. Callam was a very good player at this level but could never seem to put a run of games together . I noted that his name was taken off of the programme team numbers - so this wasn't a shock - but it'll be difficult to replace his quality.
Alex was a a great squad player and willl be missed as he always gave 100% and no one had an easy game against him. Maybe he wasn't quite at this level but he has never let us down. I presume he has already found a club to go to - good luck Alex.
I also presume that Greavsey has two quality replacements in mind a…
