Tavistock vs. Frome Town: Preview and Ticket Info

Steve Jupp, BA11's Club Historian, looks ahead to Wednesday's trip to Devon and a meeting with the Lambs.

If the weather allows, Frome Town make the arduous midweek trip into deepest Devon on Wednesday for a fixture with out-of-form Tavistock.

Nine points in the past week is a superb return for Danny Greaves' squad who will be further boosted by the inclusion of James Ollis, back from suspension.

After a goalless draw with Westbury in late September, Tavvy put together an impressive run of five wins in a row only to follow this by five straight defeats, culminating in Saturday’s 2-0 home loss to Exmouth which sees them currently in sixteenth place.

They've won just two of eight home games this term, but in one of those put an eye-opening five goals past Cribbs so Robins beware, when they're in the mood, the Lambs can turn over just about anyone.

They were certainly in the mood last season, doing the double over Frome (a painful 4-0 at Badgers Hill where Liam Prynn netted all four and a thrilling 4-3 at Langsford Park on the last day) on their way to a sixth place finish, narrowly missing out on a play-off berth in their first campaign in the Southern League.

Victory for the Robins will take them to the top of the table for the first time in nearly two years but they will have to overcome both the elements and an unpredictable Tavistock side on their own patch.

Match Details For those who plan on travelling to Langsford Park, tickets can be purchased on the gate with adult entry priced at £10, concession entry at £6 and Under-12s entry is FREE with a paying adult according to the latest information provided.

Secure your tickets for our next game at Badgers Hill when we take on Bashley!

Fingers crossed we play tomorrow , Cribbs also play. No game on Saturday for the Robins.

An update - Jez Bedford ( Wimborne Town), injured at Larkhall on Saturday, suffered a lacerated kidney after colliding with the goalkeeper - he spent the night in hospital - lets hope he's OK and makes a 100% recovery.
