Tonight & Fair Frome

We were delighted to be working again with Fair Frome on helping our charity partner in light of the lockdown and we managed to speak to Bob Ashford the Chair of fair Frome Trustees about the current situation in Frome.

Bob Ashford stated. "Frome Town FC have been a great partner with us and are a superb community club. With this latest joint venture your supporters our staff, and volunteers we will do everything we can to make a difference.

(However) The pandemic has hit local families hard. Many more people find themselves unemployed or working but not earning enough to support themselves and their families. We are concerned that this winter will be even tougher as the second wave hits. Fair Frome which runs the Food Bank and other projects have fully support the campaign by Marcus Rashford to provide free school meals during school holidays and his campaign to end childhood food poverty.

Fair Frome trustees have agreed that regardless of any future Government funding they will support the 800 and rising children on income related free school meals in BA11 this Christmas Holiday by providing every one of them with store vouchers equivalent to the cost of free school meals.

We already run a Food at Five Takeaway service 3 days per week in Frome providing nutritious hot

meals free of charge to families and individuals on benefits and this will continue for the foreseeable future, including school holidays along with our Holiday Hunger project providing packed lunches.

We will also providesupport through special parcels full of food and Christmas fare to referred families during the Christmas break and new toys. The food bank and furniture bank will continue to run as normal throughout the year. Our staff and Trustees are concerned that children and families living with food poverty need as much help as possible during this difficult period without uncertainties about where their next meal will come from. If you feel you can afford to help us with financial support, no matter how

small please visit https://localgiving.org/charity/fairfrome/ and reference your donation End

Child Food Poverty."

Help support Fair Frome by bringing new toys, food or cans to tonight's game. Or if you are unable to make it please support our joint campaign by donating a ticket. Where 50% of the money raised will go to Fair Frome. Buy a donation ticket on the link below for £10.

We will also have 10 of last season's shirts available to purchase for £20 in the Clubhouse - all proceeds will go to Fair Frome.
